The ferrari purosangue is on track to be the iconic italian manufacturer’s first SUV, and exclusive new renderings give a hint of what it might look like.
It will be a V12-powered alternative to the lamborghini urus and aston martin DBX when it comes to market, possibly in late 2022.
Ferrari purosangue: exterior design

At the front, the narrow headlights stand out, similar to the ferrari roma, with daytime running lights flanking a trapezoidal grille.
The hood features dramatic curves, and the purosangue’s roofline has a sleek approach instead of merging into a boxy rear end.
The rear of the car features a large black panel with the prancing horse logo and thin LED taillights similar to those on the ferrari 296 GTB.

In the front, the purosangue will be equipped with leather, brushed metal and carbon fiber and a new version of the ferrari infotainment system.
It is expected that the new ferrari purosangue will be the first modern ferrari with five seats, although it is likely that you can get a set of two individual rear seats if you prefer – like those of the GTC4 lusso.

Under the hood of the new ferrari purosangue will be many components of the roma GT. A V12 engine is quite unlikely, we assume a V6 engine that could produce over 600 hp thanks to hybrid technology.
It is not known if the purosangue will have rear-wheel drive (like most other ferrari models) or if it will use a similar all-wheel drive system as the GTC4 lusso. hybrid models could use a system similar to the SF90 supercar, where the V8 engine drives the rear wheels while electric motors drive the front wheels.
ferrari is not expected to offer a v12 hybrid off-road purosangue because adding electric motors and batteries would make a car with an already powerful v12 engine too heavy. Instead, there will probably eventually be a twin-turbo V8 hybrid.

ferrari’s first SUV is not expected to be presented to the public until 2022. It’s possible it won’t hit the market until later this year, though you can bet (as with most ferraris) that many wealthy petrolheads have already sent blank checks to the ferrari factory to make sure their names are first on the list for this new SUV.
