Theatertipp: KÖNIG DROSSELBART – a theater fairy tale for young and old with lots of music and dancing – played by the children of the Matibi school in Hohenschönhausen

Premiere on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 6:00 pm

Children play for children and kidnap everyone in a magical fairytale world:

What happens if you think you are better, smarter, and great than anyone else around you?
One can experience that when one hears the fairy tale “King Drosselbart” – and also sees this trap. Because about forty children of the Matibi School Berlin-Hohenschönhausen play, dance and sing on stage and bring the characters to life.
There are many suitors, one is more ridiculed than the other. Something monstrous happens on a marketplace, and finally all land in the castle of King Drosselbart. Of course, things are going well there, too.
We’re curious to see what happens to the haughty princess on the way to her transformation …

The experienced theater pedagogue Walburga Raeder has again directed this and with the mere replay of the fairy tale text it is guaranteed not done. In productions by Walburga Raeder there is much more fun, hidden tips on modern sensibilities, surprising subplots but also a lot of dance and music! If you were in one of these fairy tale productions – and we were already at the ASCHENPUTTEL and SCHWEINEHIRT – then you had the feeling that you had visited a great musical. And so we will be there again this time and let us be surprised!
And when kids play for kids, it’s always something special anyway!

Dances: Jana Wegener
