Seefeld in Tirol is a place with many faces. Here in the middle of the mountains you have a world of sophistication as you walk through the pedestrian zone. Once you’re out of the streets, you’ll find plenty of nature, alpine huts, lakes and mountains. Seefeld is a popular holiday resort between the Karwendel and the Wettersteingebirge. The village lies at 1180 meters above sea level on a sunny high plateau above the Inn Valley, where the famous Golden Roof is not far away in the provincial capital of Innsbruck. Seefeld is a place with many hotels. Some Seefeld hotels are known for their wellness areas. You can spend a great wellness vacation here.

Hiking Seefeld

In the summer months you will find many opportunities for hiking around Seefeld. An easy hike with a view over the village leads to the Brunschkopf. At the summit there is a viewing platform with a beautiful view of the Karwendel. If you want to hike in the Karwendel yourself, I can recommend you the Rosshütte. You can take the funicular up to the top of the mountain and then up to the summits. I found the Seefelder Joch and Seefelder Spitze nice.

The holiday region Seefeld is also strong when e-biking. Thanks to a cooperation with an e-bike manufacturer, you can borrow the latest e-bikes in many hotels and in town. The beautiful ski resort Rosshütte can be reached directly on the outskirts of Seefeld. For me it is the best ski resort in the Karwendel! Perfectly organized, beautiful ski slopes, good food, sunbathing on the mountain and a dream view. That’s how I imagine skiing

Cross-country skiing in Seefeld

Seefeld is known for its great cross-country ski trails! The network for cross-country skiing is huge with 254 kilometers and some trails extremely snow sure. Depending on the temperature, the season for cross-country skiing begins at the end of October or in November. The pros use this for training. If you are planning a holiday with a dog, you can try your own dog track.

In this beautiful winter landscape I have already taken many great winter hikes. Around 150 kilometers of winter hiking trails will be cleared, a part of which I have already seen in my multi-day winter hike. The onward migration in winter leads you once around the Leutasch – the high valley near Seefeld.
