Certainly a very nice destination from Cape Coral is to visit the city of Sarasota which is only 82 miles northwest. With the car in about 1 hour and 30 minutes and there are also many beautiful beaches have been chosen among the best in the United States. Sarasota has approximately 51,000 inhabitants and is located in Sarasota County. From there you can visit the offshore islands such as Anna Maria Island with Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach, Longboat Key or Siesta Key. On these islands live many rich and prominent people who can afford it. But for tourists, this is also a very nice tour that you can do. If you want to go on holiday, you can land at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, which is served by many American airlines.
The metropolis of Bradenton is also easily accessible which is famous for tennis where the stars always train. That’s why a lot of former well-known tennis players live in this region. There are also some beautiful attractions in Sarasota such as the Ringling Museum of Art where you can see many interesting paintings. For families with children, the Sarasota Jungle Gardens is recommended where there are many animals such as parrots or alligators. Anyone interested in orchids and plants can visit the Marie Selby Gardens. As in Cape Coral, you can rent holiday homes with a private pool in this region. The weather and climate is similar as the city is only 82 miles northwest. The cities of St. Petersburg and Tampa are also easily accessible from there, where there are many other attractions such as amusement parks. There are shops in Sarasota but relatively few are to other cities in Florida. Quick to reach the Ellenton Premium Outlets where there are many shops where you can make a bargain.
Otherwise, it is a very beautiful city which is perhaps a little quieter than other cities. Therefore, many retirees probably live in this region and as usual in Florida, these come mostly over the winter months. Of course there are hotels in Sarasota where you can stay overnight and many well-known hotel chains have very nice hotels there. For a day trip from Cape Coral Sarasota is recommended. But if you want to see more of this region then you should stay there for a few days and then you can see much more. Do not miss to visit the Sarasota Bay which is just gorgeous. Of course, real estate is also a big issue in Sarasota and many luxury villas are for sale there. If you have the necessary change, you can buy a holiday home or second home there and use it over the winter months.
