Christmas donation, novatec

We donate for a good cause!

Christmas is coming and again this year we support three social projects with donations.

The Christmas donation 2018 at Novatec:

The perfect flow – at work as in life

At Novatec we combine Christmas with a traditional Christmas donation. Instead of Christmas presents for customers, we have been donating to needy organizations for some years and are happy to make a small contribution with our donation.

In 2017, all employees were invited for the first time to propose their personal heart project, to advertise for Novatec and then to vote. After this successful start in 2017, it was clear that this concept should continue in 2018! Numerous projects have been proposed again and at the end of the voting phase, three godparents with their eligible projects can look forward to our Christmas donation.

This year we support the following facilities:

The children’s hospice Bärenherz Wiesbaden

The Kinderhospiz Bärenherz Wiesbaden is another project that we support with this year’s Christmas donation. On 4 December 2018 Oliver Berger and Kai Kuckein presented the donation check in the amount of 3,000 euros.

Our second Christmas donation this year goes to the children’s hospice of the Bärenherz Foundation in Wiesbaden. On December 4, 2018, Kai Kuckein and the head of our branches in Frankfurt and Zweibrücken, Dr. med. Oliver Berger, on the way to Wiesbaden. There they presented the donation check to Marie-Christin Kunz from the children’s hospice in Wiesbaden. Our employee Kai Kuckein, who drew attention to the children‘s hospice and won the approval of many Novatec employees for his proposal, got things started.

“I know the Kinderhospiz Bärenherz in Wiesbaden since elementary school and have already supported it at other fundraising events. With our donation we want to promote the family rooms in the children’s hospice, which play an important role in relieving the affected parents,“Clarified Kai Kuckein of Novatec.

About the children’s hospice in Wiesbaden

The Kinderhospiz Bärenherz Wiesbaden looks after and cares for children with a serious illness. At the same time, the employees on site with the greatest dedication set up a wide range of services for those affected. From medical care to therapeutic offers to palliative care, the children’s hospice provides support in many places. With such a serious illness, many questions also arise for the family environment. What care is best for my child? What are the financial challenges for me?? The children’s hospice Bärenherz in Wiesbaden accompanies affected families in this difficult time and does a great job with it.

“We are very happy about the generous Christmas donation of the company Novatec GmbH. With this donation you help us to support seriously ill children and their families “, said Marie-Christin Kunz from the Kinderhospiz Bärenherz in Wiesbaden.

KikE Tübingen

For our employees it was clear: KikE – help for children of cancer patients does extraordinary work! We support this project and handed over the donation check over 3,000 euros in Tübingen as part of the Christmas donation on 4 December 2018.

When parents get cancer, their children are also confronted with a new situation. Both sides ask themselves many questions: What’s up with mom and dad? How do I talk to my child about cancer? The Tumor Center – CCC Tübingen supports families in this difficult time with the project KikE: Help for children with cancer patients.

For the children from the affected families, there are varied offers. In addition to day trips to a climbing garden, there is also the opportunity to participate in special art therapies. KikE organizes regular meetings for affected parents in which they can exchange views openly. The psycho-oncological service and the psychosocial cancer counseling center of the Tumor Center of Tübingen are always available to assist those affected.

“I got to know KiKe through affected families and experienced how important this offer is and how much it is valued. Parents and children find advice and help here in a situation that turns their whole life upside down. Especially the weekend together is a break from a life characterized by illness and death, “ affirm Dorothea Kölle.

With our donation we support the important work of KikE

For our employee Dorothea Kölle, who is the godmother for this project, it was clear that the project deserved financial support. Her proposal was supported by numerous Novatec employees, and on December 4, 2018, she and her managing director Hans-Dieter Brenner presented the donation check for € 3,000. Both made a picture on site in the Tübingen facility and were enthusiastic about the use of the people of KikE!

“The purely donated project” KikE – Help for children with cancer patients “helps families, in which one parent has cancer. When parents have cancer, children and adolescents often do not feel well. They have many fears and sometimes they have to say goodbye to one parent. KikE offers support in these difficult times. “ On behalf of the KikE team, Silke Schnell, Fundraising Manager at the Comprehensive Cancer Center Tübingen-Stuttgart, thanked Novatec Consultung GmbH for their generous support.

The Blue House Stuttgart

One of the projects that we are supporting this year with our Christmas donation is the “Blue House” in Stuttgart, which belongs to the Förderkreis krebskranke Kinder e.V. On 4 December 2018, we handed over the donation check for 2,000 euros.

On December 4th, 2018, we welcomed Cornelia Völklein and Prof. Stefan Nägele from the Förderkreis krebskranke Kinder e.V. in our headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen. Together with our Managing Director Konrad Pfeilsticker, our project patron Jasmin Thurner-Zinsstag presented the donation check to Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Nägele (Chairman of the Presidium) and Cornelia Völklein (Managing Director).

“With this donation we want to support families with children and adolescents with cancer and do not leave them alone in this difficult situation. It is important to us to support the Friends of the Society in their great work and to contribute to their charitable work by assisting in the implementation of their family project. The amount of money goes into the Family Fund and thus directly benefits affected children and their families “, emphasize Konrad Pfeilsticker and Jasmin Thurner Interest Day on behalf of the entire workforce of Novatec.

What is the Blue House in Stuttgart?

The support group supports various children’s oncological institutions and operates, among other things, the Blue House in Stuttgart. The beginning of this extraordinary project was in 2009, when the building was bought and renovated step by step with private donations. For families with children with cancer, the Blue House is a temporary home. On 900 square meters, spread over three floors, the affected 17 apartments are available. The Blue House is just a stone’s throw away from the new Olga Hospital so that relatives can live close to their loved ones during the treatment time.

“As the operation of the Blue House is financed almost exclusively by donations, we are very pleased about the support of Novatec GmbH. Only in this way is it possible for us to permanently offer families a temporary home in which they can rest and recharge their batteries in this difficult life situation “, Prof. Dr. Stefan Nägele on the donation from Novatec.
